- Healthcare System Complex of facilities, organizations, and trained personnel engaged in providing health care within a geographical area.
- Health Management A combination of wellness and disease management in a single data-driven approach aimed at reducing controllable health risks and controlling healthcare utilization in diseased populations.
- Onsite Healthcare A general term used to describe the provision of employer-sponsored medical care that is typically delivered at the work place. It can encompass primary care, occupational health care, immediate care, or any mixture thereof.
- Onsite Provider A licensed and credentialed physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner who provides medical treatment at the workplace.
- Onsite Wellness A collection of employer hosted programs, processes and tools used to support behavior modification related to lifestyle management risks like obesity, smoking, stress, bad nutrition and controllable health conditions.
- ROI (Return on Investment) The return on investment as measured by fixed onsite healthcare costs compared to variable off-site care costs. It also can include soft cost savings such as improved productivity and reduced absenteeism, aspects of which can be directly attributable to the work of the onsite provider.
